Locked us in for a rate…to save money.
We went to our bank when we started shopping for a mortgage. Their “financial advisor” (salesperson) offered us one rate. Then we went to Tammy. Having a fiduciary responsibility to us, she locked us in for a rate with a lender when she learned the rates would be going up the next day, giving us more time to shop for a house at a better rate than our bank offered us. At the end of it all, the lender she ended up securing for us was our own bank! So she got us a lower rate from our bank than our own bank offered us and by at least 15 basis points!
