For instance, if you’re eyeing a property that’s intended to be ‘owner occupied’—be it a coastal home, a residence close to your family, a cabin by the lake, or even a condo for frequent work trips—you can secure it with as little as a 5% down payment. A note to consider: while 4-season cabins qualify for a 5% down payment, 3-season cabins come with a slightly higher threshold of 10%.
